European Travel Destination Guide

A lot of folks do not plan when they travel to Europe. They just go wherever their heart desires once they get there. This is not a smart idea at all. If you are already in your destination, doing research will already be a little too late. It will be harder than doing it beforehand. Also if you do not have a plan outline, you might miss some great places, end up being frustrated moving back and forth and waste money. A good itinerary will usually help in conserving your energy, fix your schedule and visit locations that are nearby.

If you travel by train during the night, you will save yourself a booking in a hotel.

The trains and the subway systems in Europe are efficient, clean and mostly inexpensive that a Eurorail pass is no longer a necessity on your part. You can do the traveling while you are getting sleep just like the cost of having to stay at the hotel, but all for the price of one. Booking the tickets can be done 30 minutes before departure so it is wise to know the schedules. You will see the beautiful countryside while riding the comfortable train with great amenities. They can host a buffet and offer onboard entertainment in the long hours of travel.

Always travel light. If you buy so much stuff, leave your old clothes to charity or give them away. Do not carry too much weight. Another technique is not to carry those bulky travel guides. Photocopy the ones that you need and leave the bulky book behind.

Bring with you some snacks. You can buy them along the way. It gets a little bit pricier once you are in the city and snacking on the way takes away the urge to dine in fine restaurants.

In most European city accommodations, you can find a tourist booth or a tourist accommodation center where you can get information like hotel, rentals, transportation, maps etc. However, take note that these benefits will require you to pay a good sum in exchange for the services you acquired. Long ago booking last minute deals are the way to go, but since the advent of computers, the internet has all the deals, so make sure to check out and plan in advance.

If you are still new to the internet, I suggest you check with the notable sites found in the search engines like Google and Yahoo. You can do this too while you are already in your destination. You may visit cafes that offers internet services and do research for your next itinerary and destinations. Almost everything can be found now on the internet. A nice and interesting site offering hotels in UK, Italy and France can be checked by new or experienced travellers for useful accommodation info.

Help answer the question about travel destination

Problem with Travel Destination Tab on MyYahoo?
When I try to change the departure city on my new Travel Destination page, I get an 'error on page', and then sometimes it locks up my computer. It just won't let me change the departure city.

There are so many good travel destinations "perfect vacations" they can't be listed. It all depends on what you feel like doing at the point in your life that you'll be taking that vacation. It's fun to read about a place that gets your imagination fired up, then dream about it and make plans, then finally get there. Perfect vacations and travel are fun and relaxing and exciting and a great education all rolled into one. Here are our thoughts on how to plan one: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/custom-tour.html and http://www.mousetourstravels.com/custom-tour-planning-list.html

I don't know about a quiz online, but here is a tool we use to help us choose different themes with our website: http://chooseit.sitesell.com/mousetours.html

Re: Water- I wouldn’t recommend that you drink the Jamaican water if you don’t usually drink tap water. I have friends who just can’t drink tap water because of the Chlorine content etc….

Water quality is top in jamaica.

Jamaica is the most beautiful island undoubtedly (and my heritage is Kittician) but it’s restless in parts…I wouldn’t live there, not unless I could afford the mountains, but unfortunately those are full of whites.

We rented a house on the Osa last year with my 2 girls and it was amazing. Try Lapa Rios or Bosque del Cabo. There are incredible places there and your little ones will love the monkeys, macaws, butterflies & beaches. It is very safe and clean. You do need to watch for scorpions & snakes but a little common sense will suffice.

The water in Jamaica is one of the best in the world. No one dies or even gets sick from drinking it… I am drinking it right now.. As for the gay issue, it is sad when people stay outside and judge another country. Jamaicans are very homophobic, but they don’t waste time murdering gays… The Jamaican people are very conservative and don’t like to see people displaying affection openly- yes not even straight people. They believe those things belong indoors.

Regarding gays: They believe that whatever u are doing is your business but you should keep it to yourself. Some gays are beaten when they show their affection publicly which offends the masses who weren’t brought up that way .

Portland Oregon is great, city, but still down to earth…Great Coffee, and beautiful, and artsy (try Saturday Market during the summer)

Savannah Georgia is a beautiful coast, old south, beautiful town…Love the accents and the trees with moss hanging off them.

The Olympic National Forest in Washington State is beautiful, lots of beautiful mountains and beaches right next to each other. Rainforest and hot springs even!

San Francisco is gorgeous and really fun with the trolley and great seafood!

New York city, is of course great – a cross-cultural/foreign experience without ever going overseas!

Crater Lake Oregon is breathtaking and amazing! A crystal clear blue lake in the middle of a volcanic crater. Quiet, peaceful and inspiring!

August is a tough month to travel to the caribbean.. you know it is hurrican season, right (and incredibly hot & sticky)? But, if I had to pick, I would go to Aruba. Yeah, it will cost a little more than some of the other islands but this is one island outside of the hurricane belt & it is a little cooler because it is windy. I know it recently got some bad press, but to be honest, I think it is safer than a lot of other places like Jamaica & the Bahamas.

they don’t go around killing gay people BUT they are very against it.
